The consultation was opened before TfL announced it was using SL-prefix numbers for the Superloop routes - and even then only the SL8 (renumbered 607) has been announced officially. As the X34 number is only provisional it makes no difference to the consultation process.

I think the X34 is supposed to be renumbered SL2 and the X183 will be SL1, but nothing had been officially announced yet. I suspect the SL prefix was a last minute decision as it was announced after the consultations for the X183 and X34 were released.

I'm finding the new SL numbers extremely confusing because I can't relate them easily onto the parallel ordinary route. For example, I still can't remember clearly which SL route is the X183, and which SL route is the X140.
Anyway, which SL route is now the fastest? Are there any which achieve at least 40 km/h for the majority of passengers?

Most of the travelling public are only really aware of the routes in their local area, so probably don't care much what these new routes are numbered and they don't need (or want) to remember more than one or two. Route numbers like 114, 140, 258, 395 and SL9 bear no relation to each other but most people locally know they all go between Harrow and South Harrow. Most of us have our own ideas of what Superloop should and could have looked like in terms of livery, branding, route numbers and even the location of stops, but we have what we have and let's hope TfL can make a success of these routes. Signs so far are promising.

A lot of the buses run 10 mins early into each end. I always instruct them be on time outside Palmers Green elsewhere I dont mind they running 10 mins early so long as they're on headway. Really the only thing that lets the route down is the HA buses dreadful reliability

I think the awful traffic between Bickley and Chislehurst in the AM and PM rush hours might let the SL3 down.

As so illustrated I’d be in favour of this for now, as long as it’s not instead of the Bakerloo Line extension.
