Indeed Spain were really poor today! Happy for Morocco though Absolutely deserved by Morocco and a brilliant, cheeky penalty by Hakimi, good luck to them Ecstatic for our team and hope we can keep it up!

Morocco go through......poor penalties from Spain Spain are as bad as England when it comes to penalty shootouts at the World Cup! I suspected Morocco could pull off a shock over Spain but a panenka penalty to seal the shoutout? Unbelievable confidence. I think Morocco will fancy a semi final place now

Portugal looked good although I expected a bit more from Switzerland.

I was in shock when that happened. I can't believe two of my teams are out now Brazil's stalling went wrong and as a consequence they are out, one of the teams I picked with France remaining.

I was also shocked, I said either Brazil or France to win also. I guess many underestimated Croatia who also got into the finals the last time. This definitely is the world cup of surprises.

I couldn’t be more of a Croatia fan now for the semi-final - Argentina are such horrible winners and I’d love to see Croatia stuff them (after extra time and penalties obviously because it’s Croatia!)
I’d quite like to see another shock this evening and see Morocco advance to the semis because Portugal are another team I don’t much care for
But the big one for me this evening is obviously the England game. I’m working so won’t be able to watch it all but should see a bit of the first half and most of the second half. France and Mbappe are a huge task - they aren’t reigning World Champions for nothing. But they aren’t unbeatable - this England side can cause them problems and I’m pleased to see that Gareth Southgate intends to keep an unchanged lineup. Improvements are needed on the first half against Senegal but I’m encouraged by the quiet confidence shown by the team. Come on England! 🏴🏴🏴🦁🦁🦁

Come on England! 🏴🏴🏴🦁🦁🦁 I think Mbappe needs to stop being referred to as a singular threat. I feel England are too focussed on bringing him down without realising Dembelè, Giroud and Griezmann are all still better than most, if not any other player on the England team and are ready to run through the English defence. I think if England can get through the French midfield, they can quite easily get through the French defence. Doesn't look like Kimpembe will be present leaving only Varane as any real threat. I do think Lloris will be a touch nut to crack though, miles above Pickford. Southgate needs to consider playing Ramsdale for some games.

I think England v France is really on a knife edge and could go either way.

It's probably just the media going on Mbappe, I'm sure Gareth Southgate is well aware of the other threats. I certainly wouldn't say Lloris was much better than Pickford, I've heard Tottenham fans expressing concerns about Lloris and how error prone he can be, he made one in the 2018 World Cup final although it didn't matter too much as France were 4-1 up at the time.
