It's amazing how bold criminals have become. He was attacking this man in broad daylight in a carriage full of passengers. Omg. Thank the lord he's been arrested. It's getting worse and worse, just had a man follow a woman up our road to her doorstep, punched her and took her phone then ran off. The police came for about 2 minutes and left even without taking a copy of CCTV showing him following her and then running away later. Disgusting

The Hainault incident is just another in the long list of Sadiq Khan’s failures to get on top of knife crime and now, tragically, another young lad is dead 😔

It’s just commonplace for people to carry knives nowadays because they know the chances of being caught are slim. Today’s tragic incident is at the higher end of the scale but can anyone genuinely say they were shocked when they heard the news? It’s a sad indictment on life in today’s London that I wasn’t shocked

Knife crime in London has increased by 25% since Sadiq came to power ... why do these nutters feel more emboldened under his watch is the question you should be asking. Admittedly it is down on the 60% increase that it peaked at, which was crowed about so much by the Sadiq administration ... 'we have just improved from our worst', but has increased for the last two years on record. How many more people will needlessly end up being killed before people demand change? **EDIT** After the penny dropped what caused the drop from the peak, COVID, maybe a positive should be numbers have not returned to pre-covid levels

A person, potentially with mental health issues, stabbing people at random isn't a "knife crime."

We need more policing, more stop and search of young men who dress in a certain thuggish way and we need to arm the police - its the only deterrent, to the wider thug culture that is glorified.

Knife crime has very little to do with a person, potentially undergoing a mental health crisis, stabbing people (seemingly at random) in an unprovoked attack. Stop and search would not stop this kind of attack happening.

Stop and search would not stop this kind of attack happening. It would reduce the crime rate, that is clearly high, look at the number of shops being robbed on a daily basis, stop blaming mental health. It is a cultural issue among some young men.

Yes all crime is up car thefts , tool thefts aswell as knife crime we need more Police but it wasn't Sadiq who cut the police , I feel like politics has gone stupid because people don't like Sadiq they literally try to blame him for anything and everything instead of using common sense , yes he could do more on knife crime and all crime for that matter but regardless your not going to stop someone with mental health issues wether Boris , Susan or Donald Trump is the Mayor of London .
