Kentish Buses on the 19 and 55. London & County on the 105. Kentish buses were not actually that odd in London as they also had the 22A and 22B at the same time as the 55! They also ran the D8 and D9 in the 90s and of course the 108.
Not London Country but we also had LondonLinks on routes like the 78, 176 and 188.

The D8 and D9 were pretty odd in themselves, having two different operators depending on the time and day of the week. IIRC the D8 was Thamesway during the week and Kentish Bus at the weekends with deckers, as the DLR was only operating Monday to Friday daytimes during a major signalling upgrade.

The network has been so homogenised for many years that nothing really stands out unless you know where to look (202 from Arriva's N out into Catford and Blackheath is a bit of modern-day outlier). Perhaps the LTs on the 313 out to Potters Bar are the biggest anomaly these days, and that's more a political issue.
The N1 being run by First Capital deep into southeast London (Plumstead, later Thamesmead) with yellow flashes was a funny one back in the 90s. As were Grey-Green 188s running over similar territory round 1999/2000.

But they weren’t really odd as their operating areas covered those above routes It was a free-for-all at the time so it's hard to say what was oddball - Kentish Bus were big in a lot of places for a little while. Kentish Bus's Routemasters on the 19 were quite a sight, though, in hindsight. Quite evocative of a certain time/location.

That's my point - it's not like Armchair running in Tooting Broadway or Metrobus operating the 953 out of MB in Romford which is truly an oddball example to me

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned but I'd say W5 with Stagecoach in Archway, even though it's due to CT Plus getting taken over it's weird to see Stagecoach in North London. Whilst in the other side of the river Metrobus running 420 in Sutton, as neighbouring Croydon, Bromley and Bexleyheath no longer have their county bus services anymore with Kingston and Orpington being an anomaly on that.

There are still some county routes that touch the periphery on Croydon (409 at Selsdon) but none that come into Central Croydon anymore.

Uxbridge too has a number of non-London routes as the town centre/station is so close to the Greater London boundary. First Berkshire, Carousel Buses (Go-Ahead) and Arriva all operate into the town with a couple of routes continuing to Heathrow Airport. Heathrow Airport also sees multiple non-London routes, especially at Terminal 5.

I know its slightly different but seeing the number 5 as far out as Romford always seems odd to me.

GAL in North and East London. I normally associate GAL being in South London and it’s still strange to me seeing GAL in North and East London. I can’t still get head around seeing routes like the 15 and 476 with Go Ahead London on the side of it. Growing I always saw GAL down in South London. The really strange thing is buses from NP displaying London General. LG is traditionally south west London. By comparison, at least other GA buses in east London have other local names ie Blue Triangle and Docklands. All to be replaced with just GoAhead London and a new logo soon... E10 with Arriva in Ealing was the strangest thing I ever saw, operating out of Heathrow garage... Not bus related but Arriva Trains run the Overground

It does connect to the 5 on the Romford end though
