I have many ideas but sadly cos me not in power they will not come to light and probably the complete opposite will happen.
Predictions:
- the TFL bus network will continue crumbling.
- more new Electric buses & Hybrid buses to continue replacing Diesels.
- the cycle lane crap continues to wreck London.
- either Khan stays or Hall replaces as mayor. BUT nothing changes at all!
- I will hang in there as a bus enthusiast enjoying the rapidly reducing Diesel buses but will try spending more time on buses outside the M25!

A rather optimistic but obvious prediction from me The first of the 2024 Tube Stock for the Piccadilly Line will arrive in the UK for testing.

Whether diesel buses or not, do have a look beyond the M25 - there are some very interesting places even a comparatively short distance outside the M25. Reading, Guildford, Brighton, Maidstone, Southend, Colchester, St. Albans and High Wycombe are all worth a visit.

Transport UK becomes 4th largest operator in London. How do you envisage this happening? As it stands they would have to double in size to become the 4th largest operator naturally, so I assume you mean through Metroline and RATP breaking into smaller parts?

If Transport UK buys London Sovereign plus maybe X and/or RP, and the rest of London United goes to an MBO, maybe then Transport UK could become #4 in London.

Comfort Delgro are very much long-term owners of their subsidiaries, the amount of garage-based investment and acquisitions over their tenure demonstrates this I think. I'm not sure if RATP will end up being a management buyout. I think something will end up happening with it this year but it'll be interesting to see what exactly. A breakup of it I reckon might happen. My money is on Arriva winning the SL 7.

Either by RATP splitting up or , a scenario where some of RATP ends up becoming in common ownership with TUK. Metroline being sold just tongue in cheek really.

Just RATP splitting up would make TUK the fifth biggest operator, not the fourth. Arriva, Stagecoach, Metroline and GAL still ahead of it. EDIT: If some of RATP became part of TUK then this might be the case.

The finances on the company are very dire and the fact the business was written off value wise would mean that anyone is likely to be apprehensive about providing a loan, chances are such loan would have some very stringent terms and potentially the company providing the loan would put a clause in it which would allow them to seize the company should finances not improve in any way. Can't see the SL7 going anywhere apart from potentially Arriva, only because the SL5 is with it and chances are both GAL and Arriva would joint bid with the one they don't have. As troublesome as the right wing can be due to their minority groups, the vast majority of them are unlikely to riot simply because of the demographic they fall under. It might be small scale disruption but I can't see any riots erupting as a result. The Hamas and Israel war is unlikely to gain much more traction in the Middle East than it already has. Jordan in 1970s attempted to take in Palestinians just for the Palestinians that influxes in to destabilise the country, it explains the relatively pro-Israel stance that Jordan holds and other countries in the Middle East know would could potentially happen to them if they start wading in. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are already said to be relatively unhappy with the presence of Mahmoud Abbas and a time will probably come when both of those countries if anything could potentially slow aid down into Gaza as has a already been rumoured elsewhere.

Maybe not this year but eventually, TFL & Bus operators across the country begin to ditch Hybrid/Electric buses slowly. They finally come to their senses that Diesel at EUROVI is good & clean enough.
Yeah I know most if not all will disagree but hey ho it is my prediciton 🙏😏
