How do you extend the N140 via the 90? Do you double run it via Heathrow and go via the SL7 then the 90? I mean if the N278 were to run from Ruislip to Heathrow via Hayes and so does the current N140, why not have the N140 directly run via the 90 from Hayes until Feltham? A double run wouldnt be required But Harrow and Northolt would lose a night service to Heathrow and Harrow doesn't need a night link to Feltham.

Anyone know why N27 is shorter than its daytime equivalent? Could the 27 not just be a 24 hr bus

Just found out the reason "Route 27 would not run between Hammersmith Grove and Hammersmith Bus Station during the night with the service renumbered 'N27' this is to remove an 'under-used' link when all the shops are closed." flic.kr/p/N3PKgJ

I've had a little think as to how to solve the capacity issues along Harrow Road at night. N23: Aldwych to Wembley Park Via the 23 line of route up to Ladbroke Grove Sainsbury's, then Ladbroke Grove, Harrow Roaad, Willesden Junction Station, Harlesden town centre, Stonebridge Park Station, Wembley Triangle, Wembley Hill Road, Empire Way and Wembley Park Road to Wembley Park Station. Frequency: unchanged at 2bph every night Journey time: around 64 minutes PVR:6 N18: Frequency mostly unchanged. Sudbury shorts extended to Harrow Bus Station. Buses will run every 15 mins between Harrow Bus Station and Trafalgar Square during weeknights and every 30 mins between Harrow and Harrow Weald. On weekends, a 10 minute frequency between Harrow Bus Station and Trafalgar Square and every 20 mins between Harrow and Harrow Weald. The new N23 will provide significant relief along Harrow Road whilst avoiding duplication, and provide new links in the process. Notably giving Wembley Park a direct link to central London, though the old 23 routing via Oxford Street would be better for connections and would be approx 8 minutes quicker than its current routing through Hyde Park Corner. The N23's PVR would increase by two buses and the N18 by two weekends (one weeknights) due to the increased frequency between Sudbury and Harrow town centre. Only negative would be Kensal Road and Elkstone Road would lose its night bus, but residents there will be close to other night buses. Thoughts as always are welcomed.

The N23 does have its strengths however where would it stand at Wembley Park? Maybe Wembley Central would work better and passengers could transfer onto N83 if they want Wembley Park

Could take the N23 a bit further and after Wembley continue over the planned N518 to Ruislip. The 2bph would be suited to that section.

New Hendon night routes: N125: Colindale Superstores - Chingford Station N183: Mount Vernon Hospital - Hampstead Heath N221: Turnpike Lane Station - Elstree & Borehamwood Station
The point of these new proposed night routes are to make sure the current day connections are also maintained in the late evenings with new connections such as the N125 between Winchmore Hill and Chingford via Enfield Town and Ponders End.

I'm not even sure why a 125 will benefit from a night service in the first place. By the time it's beyond 22:00 the route carries nothing but fresh air with many considering it a taxi ride. The only demand where I'll slightly lean onto is between Southgate and Winchmore Hill for the purpose of connecting the night tube from there where the demand continues, unlike the rest.

Because of a healthy disembark from The Triangle heading towards Wembley Park (most walk instead of waiting for the N83), I thought a round the corner link to Wembley Park would be beneficial. The area has become a leisure destination in itself, Boxpark the most notable venue, so would benefit the staff and customers who visit there as well. There is a stand on Kings Road so the N23 can stand there. Could take the N23 a bit further and after Wembley continue over the planned N518 to Ruislip. The 2bph would be suited to that section. I rather TfL just commission a N114 between Uxbridge and Mill Hill Broadway. Don't know why a central London link is desperately needed at night to Ruislip, but it's needed that much then the long proposed N7 extension from Northolt should do the trick.

I think the N7 would definitely an option again that will be considered. It can continue from Northolt Station up to Northolt Park then pick up the propsoed N518 route to Ruislip. I'm always in 2 minds with Night routes. Whilst 24h routes can provide a good service, I am a bit old fashioned with Night routes and do think the central/inner London link can be useful. Not following the unswerving tram lines of a particular day route can allow some innovation. The N11 extension back in 2000 was great at bringing a night service to Turnham Green Station, parts of the E3 and 297. Same as in order to restore a night link from Morden to Sutton and Carshalton/Wallington I'd like to see the N155 continue along St Helier Avenue to Sutton, then Carshalton Road, Carshalton High Street then up Wallington High Street to Shotfield stand as opposed to exactly trying to copy either 154 or 157.

I'd honestly say go even further with this idea and make the N119 a separate thing and have it divert away from the Colonnades and follow the 154 to Wallington or maybe even further to Sutton, it might sound dumb but having a night route to connect the three boroughs quite thoroughly might just work, it might even be viewed as the NSL5.
