When W5 first got its MPD's on 2001, one used to appear on the 17 for a couple of years - but very rarely

The 345 still saw LDP's even after its conversion to double deck, the usual LDP's being the leased 10.7m Y TGH LDP's.

When EW had DLDs they would occasionally appear on routes 113, 186 and very frequently on the 240.
PA occasionally put MMs and DE's on the 297.

I think the 9 used to have Dart operation through Central London, as it occasionally was with the 94.

I think the 9 used to have Dart operation through Central London, as it occasionally was with the 94. You're right about the 9, this was due to the weight restriction on Hammersmith Bridge. It allowed through workings to Mortlake Garage on Sundays only, rest of the week it was RMLs to Hammersmith. Didn't know about the 94 though. The biggest farce was when you had LAs on the 36B!!

Doesn't beat a crew-operated GLS. *whistles innocently*... Moz No, these were extras for tube strike day.

The number 7, whilst under First Centrewest operation saw Marshall Capitals on the route when the route was operated with Routemasters from time to time; and Wright Handybuses when in operation.
The 79 under First operation again, use to see Marshall Capitals on the route DML41326 V326GBY whilst allocated to ON use to see service on the route often.

I wouldn't called that common at all. The most common Metrobus DD routes to get single deckers are the 261 & 353. Very rarely the 161 and 320 gets single deckers. As mrEdd stated, single deckers have served every Metrobus route except the 54. I'm glad it has not happens because the 54 is a busy trunk route. Another route which has not come up is the 241. ELBG were known for putting ALX 200s, E200s out on the 241.

The 261 was getting Omnicity and Omnitown single decks almost daily at one point. I also did mention that Metrobus have done it on practically every one of their routes

I remember when the 221 was SD on Sundays! They used the 84A (184) buses! I can picture the vehicle type, but not sure of the name!
217 & 231 were both SD at one point, can't imagine how they'd manage with SD now, I think the 217/231 need frequency increase or another route along the A10!
Erm the 144 had one of the first low floor SD, but capacity was an issue! Shocker! There was also a DAF on there a few months later!
149 had a SD with a flipdot blind!
232 has had DD but not these days.
230 had SD too

They lasted a surprisingly long time on the 101 though, whereas the 144 got converted back to deckers more quickly.

Apparently the 401 was single deck on a Sunday and if BX were short they'd send one out during the week also.
