Well since the conversion started at 8am, the first ever LT entered the route is LT32. My friend from YouTube done some footage of it from Pimlico. Does anyone know what is the last OPO bus that left the route 24? My friend also filmed the last moments of the normal bus. take note of the announcements

And from Twitters tweets it seems LT15 has conked out on a garage run on Kentish Town Road spilling its fluids all over the road. Ooooops! link

Just a bit of humour....
You could compare the LTs to Katie Price
They both like showing off the the media They both open their rears at various times They often have all their entrances open for use They have a good pair (of staff/breasts) You either love or hate and secretly like them but don't tell anyone!
Enjoy!

2 questions from thos "alamy" pictures. 1/. Why are some drivers leaving the middle doors closed? It's open boarding. 2/. Can the platform door leafs be operated independently? I notice in a lot of them, the rear most leaf is closed.

By the way, the NBFL got a mention on the Local London news (ITV and BBC). The BBC have a longer report which shows overwhelming positive views from the public about the NBFL.

I notice in a lot of them, the rear most leaf is closed. On LT17, the rear most leaf never opened. I boarded it around 19:00 and it was running in OPO mode, driver also struggled to start up the bus.

noticed from picks drivers pulling up normally obviously never drove the old RM's ... they should pull forward so rear is at stop.

There were many short workings that day. Obviously there were a lot less buses at Pimlico (about 2 or 3, at best) compared to Hampstead (where there were about 6 buses there, at least 5 standing)
Also, I saw smoke somewhere near the rear end of an NBfL yesterday. Summin' up with the 'engine'?

You can board at any door, so why do they have to stop with the back at the stop? What really annoyed me yesterday was the conductors completely preventing any sort of hop-on, hop-off operation by planting their entire body across the door between stops. You might as well just close the door and not bother with the second member of staff.

You might as well just close the door and not bother with the second member of staff. The hop on, hop off rear door on the NBfL was always an ill conceived idea. I guess after some time, the rear door will simply be kept shut 100% of the time and buses will again be OPO. Much like the Door Open buttons on the 1995 tube stock (which have just started to have their buttons covered up), they are just not suitable for modern London. noticed from picks drivers pulling up normally obviously never drove the old RM's ... they should pull forward so rear is at stop. Routemasters only had a single entrance, NBfL has three.

Oh very clever if the stop has a shelter then the front and middle doors will be inaccessible thus preventing wheelchair and buggy wielding parents (and anyone else) boarding and alighting. Can we just get past all the hype and ridiculous publicity and agree that the NB4L is not, never was and never will be a Routemaster? They are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!!!!!!!!!!

Summin' up with the 'engine'? Must be burning oil / dew, perhaps it will burn off as the buses had been standing for ages at PV before use... Sent from my GT-I8190N using proboards

I'm glad 'Connor' mentioned OPO - on the 24 yesterday, freebus was in operation as quite a number of people were not touching in on the readers or by the driver.
