Hello all,
Are there plans to run extra buses as per the last tube strike in February?
Will there be RMs, LTs etc. from Ensign?

London Bus Company will have 11 buses out on the first 2 days of the strike. A mixture of RM and RT family type buses. Southern Transit are supplying 2 RMs, L1 olympian and ex Connex TA1. Seaford & District supplying 3 buses, I don't know what buses but I am going to predict they are higher numbered TAs from the same batch as TA1.

Will the northern line still be running during the strikes, like it did the last few times?

As usual, the buses pick up the pieces. And yet we get less pay.

LU will be out on Hammersmith to Hounslow West runs. Fingers cross for a good Volvo Olympian - VA8 or VA10 would be very nice!

Someone from UNITE should be all over the media singing the praises of buses.

According to the latest media reports negotiations have failed so looks like the great London Vintage running day is a go.

I'm taking a bus out of Twickenham on Wednesday (I'll be Ambassadoring elsewhere tomorrow,) so it'll definitely be on Olympian - one out of VA8, 10, 46, 48, 49 or 54. Won't be 7 or 9 as they'll be otherwise engaged!

Am I right in reading that Ensign are providing 100 buses!? I am guessing with these 100 + extras from London operators there will be a lot more buses than the last strike?
Have Stagecoach brought in extras from outside London?

Have Stagecoach brought in extras from outside London? I think Ensign are providing 31 of their own buses. The "vintage fleet" is apparently on the 15 and 38 this time. The Bendy coaches on the 25. As happened last time they have taken the lead in organising a load of other vehicles from operators (70 or so). TfL are saying there will be 250 extra buses this time which seems to be quite a hike up from previous strikes. I imagine the difference will be whatever the big groups can pull in and staff themselves. I wonder where they can find an extra 150 buses from? It's past the Easter holidays so it's not as if school fleets are sitting around doing nothing.
