...think perhaps you could have picketed the LU depots better to prevent your colleagues in other unions working before insulting the replacement drivers?
I assume those LU workers that are working today are also all 'blacklegs' as you put it?

A new record has been broken for London buses today! 7,961 buses were in service the highest number ever for London. Not bad considering The normal M-F school day PVR is around 7730

I was at Blackwall Station terminus at 14:20 today Ensignbus were out in force with with an RMC, RTL, and a DMS! I'm gutted as I was waiting for a 15 to get to work and I heard one of the Conductors say that they weren't going anywhere until 15:00, I couldn't wait as I was due on then. So I had to get on a mundane hybrid

And now for something completely different - devoid of ranting and bile. RM909 on the 29 RML2755 on the 29 RT3871 on the 29 Beestons MX04MYW and MX04 MYY on the 205 Travelmasters EY07 AXJ on the 25. There were two other deckers but I was unable to ID them. Imperial Buses RTL1256 on the 205 Stagecoach 18512 and 18503 on the 205 Stephensons 510, 504 and 512 on the 25. I also saw two Enviro 400 / Scanias zap down the Mile End Road. Several New Adventure Travel deckers spotted from afar - looked like ex Stagecoach and Metroline Tridents with ALX400 / President bodywork. Also an un-ID'd Brighton and Hove liveried Trident / President. Oddly there were a lot of DW class deckers on the 29 today. I thought it was all hybrid but I wonder if there was some juggling of allocations? One of Ensign's bendy coaches (402?) parked up on Stratford Broadway. LT208 seen on the 38. Yep.. Ensignbus 401 and 402 are for route 25 between Holborn and Straftord.

The 267 is struggling like Joey Essex in a spelling contest 35 metres in 10 minutes... trying to get to Hammersmith from Brentford... the road's a carpark Its terrible out there...the 235 is very much up the shi*ter as well! groups of 4 buses together, then nothing for 25 minutes and then another group of 3 yet no turns when they are all together! I do wonder how it is worked out which routes are due for extra's, does anyone know? I would have thought that the 9 (following the picadilly line most of the way would be a prime candidate. Buses were jam packed and not stopping at stops. However, a few of the day's Turns that I noted 73's (from Victoria)to Mildmay Park 14's (from Warren St.) to South Kensington 38's (From Hackney) to Holborn 19's (from Battersea) to Picadilly Circus/ Islington Green/ Highbury and Islington 9's (from Aldwych) to Hyde Park Corner 242's (from Homerton) to Holborn Circus 13's (from Aldwych) to Baker Street Station and Swiss Cottage 11's (from Fulham) to Mansion House 100's (from Shadwell) to Ludgate Circus Extras: Route 2: RML2760 and RMC1461 Route 15: M1, RT3232 Route 25 Ensign Coaches Route 26: Seaford & District "TA's", Amber Coaches, Travelmasters Route 36: DRM2516 and a bright green unidentified Routemaster (anyone know?) Chaos Observations: 15 Minutes Ludgate Circus to St Paul's (Route 26) 20 Minutes Holborn to Cambridge Circus (Route 38) No Westbound 9's at Hyde Park Corner in Evening for over 30 mins (only 2 Eastbound in this time)

Now that's interesting, obviously because no Metropolitan Line trains made it north of Harrow apart from the Uxbridge branch.

What ridiculous comments...................why do the public "hate rail staff with a vengeance"? How are bus drivers working on extras "blacklegs"? Your former colleagues hate you? Now that I can believe 1) because train fares are so high and they believe that to be a result of overpaid staff and 2) it just shows some people will do anything for a bit of extra cash. Why can you believe my former colleagues hate me ? By the way I still drive PCVs from time to time ..... The public have little or no sympathy for the strike but it doesn't mean they hate all rail staff. Why shouldn't people be earning extra cash by providing extra buses? If you think everybody is going to come out in sympathy for the RMT then you're living back in the 1970's. The fact is that oystercards mean ticket offices are no longer needed so it is not unreasonable to redeploy ticket office staff elsewhere, it's called progress whether you like it or not. Or do you want to foot the bill for staff sitting in a warm cosy ticket office all day doing next to nothing?
