Prompted by discussion in another thread what routes would you run overnight at weekends only to link into the future Night Tube service? You can also propose Night Bus routes you would reduce given where the Night Tube will run. As a reminder the Night Tube will run on the Victoria Line (full line), Piccadilly Line (Cockfosters to Heathrow only), Northern Line (High Barnet / Edgware - Morden via CX, no City Branch), Jubilee Line (Stratford - Stanmore), Central Line (Hainault - Ealing Broadway, no service to Epping via Woodford, N Acton - W Ruislip, Woodford - Hainault). MAPMy nominations, to kick start the debate, are W15 123 (but with reduced N73 service beyond Stoke Newington) 145 296 157 161 422 I'd add buses to the N35 and Night 43 and 214 given the lack of tube via the City Branch and the inevitable demand for travel to the nearest tube stations from Shoreditch / Old Street. Routes N5, N20, N29, N38, N73, N207 would be reduced in frequency given they parallel tube routes.

Nice Thread!
There are many useful day routes that would benefit with overnight services on the 24hr tube. My suggestions are
W3, W7, 329*, 121 and 221
All days:
29 to become 24 hours and N29 withdrawn and replaced by 24 hour 329
Night tube only:
Terminate the N91 at Turnpike Lane Bus Station

The N155's frequency could be reduced as a result of the Morden branch of the northern line.

For most of its route the N207 doesnt parallel any railway! Maybe chop it White City bus station, or project it to Paddington from there. Everything west of White City though is its own corridor.
I hate to say it, but I'd use it as an excuse for a complete restructuring. A few strategic orbitals maybe to link in the outer parts of the tube - its still going to take more time to cross London after all.
Maybe the X26 could become a 24 hour service. Something to link Harrow, Stanmore, Edgware, Mill Hill, Finchley.
I would be cautious about introducing new trunk routes that parallel other tube lines as in all likelyhood more will be added in stages to the night tube.
Maybe its time to reintroduce night services that stretch to the first town beyond the London border - atm I can see only Waltham Cross, presumably because the Bus Station there is a TfL one? Dartford, Epsom, Letherhead, Staines, Watford?

If it was down to me then I'd leave the 148 alone because of the Zone 1 and South London links. The N94 could be thinned at weekends. I think I might nominate the U3 in preference to the U1 as it'd link to the tube at Heathrow. I expect a N222 would be very busy, very quickly.

While I agree that the 75 should have a night service, it doesn't link with the tube so isn't in the spirit of this thread... Snoggle stole two of my choices, the 161 and 422 - I'd also add the 486 to that list.

Or a NU3 and run it along both the U3 and U1 so that Ruislip can have a night service.

163 and 164, both link key areas to the tube during the day

I would cut the night buses that parallel the Piccadily from Hammersmith inwards to Central London. Its not really clear if they will call at the normally District stations but if so would divert the buses from Brentford area via Chiswick Park stn to terminate at the Acton Green stand.

You cant do that easily. N97 goes past Charing Cross Hospital , night workers galore. Reduce in frequency but not withdrawal.
