N25 - extend to Harold Hill via the N86 N86 - withdrawn To give Seven Kings, Goodmayes, Chadwell Heath, Gidea Park, Gallows Corner and Harold Hill a night route to central London I’m not too fond of this idea. Extending the N25 would likely mean curtailing its western end to City Thameslink w/ regular 25. I think once a night service comes to the Elizabeth Line, passengers would be satisfied for a night service, especially in tandem with the existing routes like N25, N86, or 128. What this part of east London struggles most with is the north/south or diagonal connections, especially at night. I think some routes in these areas to consider giving a night service could be: 66/296 (could have an N66/N296 extend to Hornchurch and Upminster) 174 (and subsequent re-routing of N86) 247 (might serve Collier Row better, and links the N8 to other night routes such as the 365, preferred to be a 24-hour route) 287 (fills a void in the Dagenham and Rainham areas, likely simply extended N238) Maybe I should make this it’s own more detailed post…

Okay, here’s a suggestion.
173 - Gains a 24 hour service.
Pros: King George Hospital, and Dagenham Heathway gains a 24 hour service. Beckton gets a link east during the night. It connects close with the 128, N15, and N86, so Dagenham and KGH at least gets a night hopper fare link to Romford. At Beckton, you have the 474 and N551, giving links west to Canning Town and London. Cons: The A13 may get congested at points.

The vast majority of the route has no night routes. However I'd probably only run it as far as Rainham Tesco/station, there's no need for night routes to run to Abbey Wood lane
