486 to BX Garage in place of the 422 so the 422 can have a proper stand Or even route 132 to BX could work and be logical The 486 would be more logical as it would mean the 422 could stand at Friswell Place. Much more appropriate than Geddes Place!

Basically the residents aren’t happy about the 422 standing where it is, thats why I suggested moving the 486 so the 422 can take it’s place, I’m not really bothered about creating links ect, just thought as it’s a BX Route something might as well take stand at the Garage even if this means adding another bus into the service

The current arrangements for the 422 aren't good for residents or drivers and 422's tipping out at the clock tower stop often hamper other buses, you really couldn't make this up! The obvious solution would be to extend the 486 to BX, the point has been made that the 486 is due for retender soon and if Go Ahead don't retain it the same problem will reoccur but I would suggest that bridge is crossed as and when. Incidentally I saw a 422 on the Friswell Place stand about 10pm one evening, is this official practice in the evening or a driver using their own common sense? Obviously if the bus empties out outside Asda there is no point going to the clock tower stop or indeed the Woolwich Road stand if there is space at Friswell Place.

I'd change the 233 to terminate at Swanley Station rather than Beechanlea Lane as there's nothing even there. I'd also extend the R1 to go round to Tesco.

However, I’m not sure there’s enough slack in the timetable to do this without adding an extra bus

Arriva/Go Coach services already serve the station 3 times an hour (two 477s and 429) so it’s sufficiently served and is less then a 5 mins walk from the stop after Asda on the 233.

There's no oyster service on them routes though, no one in the town pays them fares just to get to the station. The poor sods all have to walk there.
