It went into administration in 2012, and ceased trading in January 2013. Now it’s the Croydon Outlet Village, basically a collection of bargain non-brands. It’s a far cry from the Allders I remember The Village Outlet has now closed after Croydon Council got a CPO for the site. Incidentally is there enough capacity at the Fairfield Halls stand for the 50, 75 and 197?

I agree with the proposals on the premise that they review the loadings on the 96 after the changes are implemented between Crayford and Bluewater. I would also like to see the 96 gain a night service.

I was in Penge earlier and the Streetlites appeared to handle the afternoon school run, but from a space point of view, the Citaros were perfect for the route.

20mph speed limits in Southwark and Lewisham have desecrated the bus service. To add them to TfL roads will make it even worse.

From a East Dulwich perspective, the 40 seems to be carrying fresh air rather than passengers who'd get on to go to London Bridge (for Guys) in comparison to last week. All this has done will send able bodied passengers onto the Southern trains and those with health issues onto cabs.
So we have the 40 which has lost its purpose with a bus every 8 mins, while the 176 has had even more LT's imposed on the route which aren't the best every 10 mins, while the 185 continues to be very busy which may be down to passengers deciding to use the 185 to Oval and then the Northern line to London Bridge instead.
TfL *slow clap*

The 40 was 3bph on a Sunday, combined with the 35 with a 7bph service between London Bridge and Camberwell Green. So that's a big cut on a Sunday. I believe the 40 has always been 4bph on Sundays too? Unless you’re talking about years ago as the used 35/40 combined to make an 8bph service over London Bridge on Sundays, now the 35 has just got to struggle on its own with half that service 😖 You're right, it was 4bph. Still it's cut in half.

If I recall, the current Victoria pattern is 2tph from Sutton, so would be a waste of resources if Platform 1 is only used for those services while London Bridge and Overground use Platform 2.

Good proposal. I don't like the layout of Norwood Junction and I find it far too confusing - this will certainly be an improvement. The subway is horrible to navigate because there's not enough room for the vast number of passengers trying to get through the station. I think the hope is that by having two footbridges passengers will spread out and load the train more evenly rather than everyone trying to cram on by the subway. I presume there'll be spurs on/off the fast lines on to the relief lines so that some longer distanc!Southern/Thameslink trains can serve the station. Overall I'm very happy with this proposal That is my major concern ... that we will lose the fast trains to/from London Bridge ... off to the Stanley Halls information event tomorrow ... that will be my first question! Just a shame the only accessible platform will become less accessible. Make having a drink in the Cherry Trees and move as the train pulls into the station harder, if not impossible! I would have thought London Bridge fasts and Thameslink services will stop at Platform 2 with London Overground and Southern Metro using Platform 1 as now.

Good to see they'll be two platform islands for northbound and southbound services, while separating the fast tracks. There's nothing worse than being on a train which pulls in on Platform 5 and then having to go through the subway to 3-4 for East Croydon trains.

One thing I’m quite surprised about is the 35 not getting its Sunday frequency increased as well as its M-S. The 40 can get really really busy on Sundays (and trust me I’ve been on a packed 40 on a Sunday afternoon) so with the 35 frequency remaining as it is (at an absolutely dismal 4bph) I wonder how much extra strain is being put on it and how long it’ll be before it (if ever) gets one. The 40 was 3bph on a Sunday, combined with the 35 with a 7bph service between London Bridge and Camberwell Green. So that's a big cut on a Sunday.

We'd need 1975 traffic levels to get back to such long trunk routes returning. Just getting the 176 from Penge to Tottenham Court Road is long enough in the present day!

Congrats to those who campaigned to save the 19, it had a lot of publicity and was well represented by politicians.
I'm affected by Route 40, which instead of serving London Bridge and The City will go to er....Clerkenwell Green! Until the Elizabeth line opens, it seems like that route will be quieter north of the Elephant & Castle. Despite what TfL have said, E&C is not a suitable interchange for passengers from East Dulwich who wish to continue to travel for hospital appointments at Guys Hospital and local rail services provided by Southern are too infrequent.

There are five LT's on the 176 today, alongside the usual mix of EH and WHV's.

176, 185 197 and 363 are diverted away from London road due to a burst water main down Honor oak road and around. For a road that only see’s a single deck P4 most of the time it’s had 6 different DD’s going down in the last week as routes 122 and 171 were diverted down there up to Saturday. It's a rather complex diversion depending on the route. 176, 185 and 197 are straight forward, diverted from Dulwich Library via Barry Road, Peckham Rye, Forest Hill Road, Honor Oak Road to line of route. P4 is diverted Lewisham bound from Dulwich Common, left Lordship Lane, right Barry Road, right Forest Hill Road, right Wood Vale to line of route. Brixton bound is diverted away from Honor Oak Road, straight down Forest Hill Road, Peckham Rye, left Barry Road, left Lordship Lane, right Dulwich Common to line of route. 363, up Forest Hill Road, right Honor Oak Road, left London Road, right Dartmouth Road, right Kirkdale, left Sydenham Hill to line of route. 356 is on diversion Upper Sydenham bound only via Dartmouth Road to line of route, Shirley bound is normal. Route P13 is diverted via Lordship Lane and Barry Road, and is unable to serve stops between Underhill Road/Melford Road and Friern Road.
