I'm afraid there are parts of the day where the bus is a last resort. Purely for convenience, I'll pay £5-£6 using one of the PHV cab apps to get home than wait for a delayed bus.
Afternoons around 3.15-4.15pm are another bad time to get a bus thanks to school children using them, not to mention the 20mph speed limit.
I'd agree that the TfL £1.50 off-peak rail fare has played its part in decreasing passengers as well. Why would you spend an hour on a bus crawling just to go 5 miles or go on the Tube/Overground?

iBus is still showing the P13 terminating at Streatham Station. I would have assumed it'd be more practical to terminate at Tulse Hill?

The 176 back to Arriva - I grew up with the 176 always being an Arriva route and the move to Go Ahead although made perfect sense and came as no surprise still does not feel particularly right to me. I'm old enough to remember when the 176 was run out of WL and Q the first time round. However it did have a long run with the same company under various brands from London & Country, Londonlinks, Cowie South London to Arriva London South. (Those of us who can remember when London & Country borrowed buses from South Yorkshire when the tender started!) The 185 I'd like to see go back to TL under Stagecoach, until 2001 it was a long serving route from there, then a patchy period under London Easylink before it went bust, then East Thames Buses and now GAL where it has settled down. Can't fault GAL's management of the route however.

You can get off the P13 at the North Cross Road stop, get on a 176 or 185 if it's behind, change at Grove Tavern and back on the P13 to Streatham as the P13 winds its way along Underhill Road.

Hayes isn’t in Kent, it’s in the London Borough of Bromley - not since the 60’s has Hayes been in Kent. Hayes Station is still referred to as Hayes (Kent) to avoid confusion with the West London Hayes. Also the post office also considers the borough of bromley to be in Kent. 😛 The Royal Mail have removed county names from addresses to stop such issues.

It all depends if Khan gets back in, not that he deserves it.
176 goes fully LT, which renders them useless to ride on hot summer days.
The first fare rise for TfL only modes for the first time in years.
If Shaun Bailey gets in, I won't be surprised if TfL finally receives central Gov subsidies to help fix the bus cuts which may also help rail franchises move to London Overground now that Boris is in power. It'd mean more regular fare rises, but at least a more useful transport system than we have currently.

The 30mph zone is a short section between Lordship Lane in Dulwich and the junction of London Road/Dartmouth Road in Forest Hill on the 197. 30mph kicks in again on the Lewisham/Bromley border just before St. Christopher's Hospice on Lawrie Park Road. Indeed as I believe Southwark is now another 20mph borough? It is, the only section of road served by the 176 in Southwark is managed by TfL which is 30mph on Lordship Lane between Melford Road and Wood Vale.

I used to work with someone who commuted from Streatham to Paddington Basin to work in Royal Oak.

I’m not a driver but I reckon routes that are unpopular are: 173 - very dull and bleak route, traffic filled, impossible to control, wretched buses 197 - although it’s a brilliant route most of it is 20mph and I bet it’s absolutely infuriating combining that and the ISA. The 173 isn't too bad bad for most drivers as A13 (on the good days) do make things interesting if given a decent bus and lot of the route isn't that bleak at all and buses on the 173 isn't too bad considering the age of those buses. I can imagine that the 325 would probably be a lot worse for DX drivers as it is busy twisty single deck route seeing it does a tour of Newham and with some traffic hotspots such East Ham and Forest Gate.
The 197 is all 30mph between Sydenham and Croydon as well parts of Forest Hill areas so I can't see that as an issue especially if the ISA is somehow been disabled or the bus is running early/on time.

185 towards Lewisham. Too long winded. P4 always busy, intolerable when schools finish. P13 - Long winded. Quicker to get two buses to New Cross or Peckham. Last choice for local trips in Dulwich. 197 to and from Croydon. The Overground off-peak takes 20 mins from Forest Hill to West Croydon for the same fare. Nearly an hour on the bus as the route weaves its way down through Sydenham, Penge, Anerley, South Norwood and the back of Addiscombe to get there.
Have to share The Urbanite's views about the 176. It's now too slow to go into Central London or even the Elephant. I only really use it for local journeys between Camberwell and Penge. Only viable to use the 185 which itself has become slower or the London Overground from Forest Hill or Denmark Hill.

P4 and P13. Those residential streets which they run along would benefit from the lack of noise from those vehicles.

Favourite was the 352 back when it covered the Lower Sydenham to Upper Sydenham via Forest Hill section. It was an absolutely lovely route with those nice Darts and great to have a direct Forest Hill to Bromley link - we used to walk from the bottom end of Dulwich to catch it. When the 352 was truncated and the 356 took over we tried the interchange once. I vaguely remember a 5 minute connection was at least implied in writing with the the 356 at Bell Green. However the 356 was always late and after a couple of times of watching the 352 leave Bell Green as we arrived in, we gave up on the 352 and shopping in Bromley completely, instead going to Lewisham. I recently rode on the 352 and it is now one of the few routes I've ridden from end to end where no other passengers boarded or alighted. The 352's buses also shrunk from 10.1m to 8.9m not long after the route was shortened. I used to love getting the 352 from Hornimans to Bromley and also used to get return tickets, which was a novelty in this part of London and then 5 mins walk to home. Not the same now that I have to change in Catford or Penge to get there now. The route through some very posh houses in Beckenham and the top end of West Wickham was a treat. Other routes I miss are the 12A/12B with the Leyland Nationals, although it was clear by 1990 why they had to be replaced with the double decker 312 as it was standing room only between Peckham and Forest Hill on many occasions. The 12B also connected to Chipstead Valley.

The 176 and 185 have a long history of following each other between Camberwell and Forest Hill and at one point the 176 used to go to Lewisham in the same direction too.
There was also the 185A which used to operate on Saturday shopping hours which followed the 176 from the Elephant providing extra capacity when the 176 was curtailed to I think East Dulwich and relieved the 185 between Camberwell and Lewisham maintaining capacity between ED and Forest Hill.
