At the grand old age of 26, I cannot get excited one bit in the new products that apple have released. I must be getting old!!! My dad has an Iphone 3 which is 4 and a half years old, nothing wrong with so with my 4s being 2 years old, I won't be upgrading any time soon. Having said that I might be purchasing an ipad in November/December time. Don't ask what version/ one I will get as apple will no doubt have a new one out soon?!

You are probably best off speaking to bus companies or the manufacturers as they are quite new compared to a lot you see at bus rallies.

The bigger London area bus rallies (Cobham/London Bus Museum and North Weald), plus showbus at the IWM Duxford. What sort of ticket machine are you after?

Manual all day long, you can have much more fun!! The only trouble with auto boxes in cars is you start left foot breaking and if you jump straight out of a manual and into an auto you can end up in the windscreen!!!! But an auto car with a naturally loud engine noise sound the dogs what its when it is driven properly (floored) I thought you're meant to use the right foot for both pedals. Racing drivers do left foot breaking, it helps with quicker laps. Some people have it to a T and others don't. The are loads of thing your meant to do when driving and people don't. Look up left foot breaking.

No matter how big or small the accidents the LTs have they are always going be in the news/social media. After reading bits of the first book published by capital transport about the LTs it mentioned about the rear roof dome and engine cover were Wrights own composite material. I'm guessing this is carbon fiber of similar grade to that used in Formula 1 as the bonnet cover/boot on that LT doesn't look that damaged/out of shape compared to if it was made out of fiber glass! Nice way for Wrights to have a monopoly over the supply of certain body parts! I wonder if TfL have capped the potential for price increases? I recently saw some photos, on John Lidstone's Flickr stream, of the engine compartment of a NB4L. First time I've seen inside and it's amazing what is stuffed into the corner of those vehicles. I wonder if the special composite material is there to act as additional protection for what is a very vulnerable but expensive bit of the vehicle? Just looked at those pics, and that is one very tightly packed engine bay!! Must be murder for the engineers to work on! I'm guessing Wrights would have a monopoly over the supply of those 'special' parts but depending on the pricing for a mould, the operator's could go to a company and have some made, but I doubt it would be cheaper than buying from Wrights. I know a lot of carbon fiber products are hand made and baked in an oven to make the glue set, but Mcleran have made a machine for their road cars that does the work of the human. IRCC the machine takes 10 hours to make a car 'tub' when a human would take 3 or 4 times that and saves loads of £££s.

I haven't been following this thread much but something that crossed my mind the other day- routes that operate LTs are they more likely to change operators as the buses are owned by TfL and not the operating company? If that could be the case then surely if Arriva lost the 38 they would have to vacate CT and the new operator takes over CT?

According to the minutes of the trade union meeting with garage management (last Fridays), SE199 was delivered last week to NX. 10 SEs are being stored at BV, with four still to be delivered. Only 104 drivers have learned the route, both the garage management and the shop steward are disappointed with the low number. But when you have to route learn it in your own time and wont get paid until you drive the route for that time how can they be surprised/ disappointed with how drivers wanting to learn it! Also I believe (can't remember the source) that there are 42 duties so 42 drivers are required, 6 coming with the route, meaning NX have to provide 36 drivers to cover the rest of the duties, so those drivers who have learned it will be very busy as of Saturday IMO. So that is 11 out of 15 of the required fleet have been delivered. So does this mean older fleet will appear on the route tomorrow if the remaining 4 have not been delivered, i assume that the 4 extra will have to be prepared for service before being released into service. I doubt older buses will appear because from the gist of the way it was written the last 4 were close to being delivered and I think SE199 was already to enter service. Also there is no type training on the SEs because according to the management they are the same as an E400 but without the top deck!

Jay-z or Mr record breaker/ everything turns to gold, Katy B, Kanye West until he starts ranting, Phil Colins, Queen, Madness, Rihanna, The Beatles. I don't listen to music on the radio a lot, simply because they the repeat the same songs and IMO most of them are dog do do and get on my nerves. So I listen to talksport which is quite a funny station once you have got to know the presenters a bit.

In this weeks route-one magazine they have an article about them, looks really good. When they are in service I might do a day trip up to oxford as I've been there before but only fleeting visits so it would be nice to explore a bit more.

I have seen the adverts for this show on the TV and I'm 99% sure it is on Friday nights at 20:00, starting on the 11th July.
